According to The Witches Almanac,
First let me give you a bit of history on how this book entered my life and has impacted me over the years. It all began for me in 1993 over 19 years ago and I still possess everyone. At that time I was just starting to awaken spiritually again; when I meet a woman working in a tattoo shop. She was a flowing spirit. She could perceive my spiritual power that had only begun to shine again. She was shocked that I was merely awakening to a new phase of my life. That is when she recommended three books and one of those books named was;
The Witches Almanac. The book is in hardback, kindle and has a website for more detailed information. The look of the Almanac has changed over the years.thewitchesalmanac.com
I went out and got one the very next day. It has some amazing things inside the cover year after year. It includes; stories and folklore, moon cycles and gardening, weather forecasting, special dates and events from around the world and many different types of beliefs.
My favorite part is the “Presage”. It is the collection of astrology predictions for each sign for the full year. 
The book cycles from spring to spring
(March 20th) Vernal Equinox. I have found this part of the book to be veracious, so much so that it can be shocking. Yea I know you may think that if you read it before hand it can become self-filling. I am sure that is true if you put the energy toward what you read and make it true. Any way I dare you to take a look at your Presage in the book and judge for yourself. You don’t have to be Wiccan or you can be anyone including even just mortal.
Also in the book is the calendar on certain days it show holidays, notable peoples births and simple daily spells.
That what leads me to this writing!
I am going to post these little spells when they come up in the book.
Today August 15th tells you to
‘Contact and old friend’
 Best part of the little spells is you decide how it will be done. Trust your intuition. When you read it pay attention to your mind.

You can make these spells grand or simple.

          I love the first snow of the year. Luckily I live in the Pacific Northwest and we only get snow for small amounts of time. This makes it have a more powerful quality, in my opinion.  Nevertheless every year, I collect a few jars of snow, if we get snow... and use the snow water in spells throughout the year.  Snow has amazing magical properties so much so that it requires great respect.
