Snow Magic and Spell Properties.

          I love the first snow of the year. Luckily I live in the Pacific Northwest and we only get snow for small amounts of time. This makes it have a more powerful quality, in my opinion. 
Nevertheless every year, I collect a few jars of snow, if we get snow... and use the snow water in spells throughout the year. 

Snow has amazing magical properties so much so that it requires great respect. Water can take many forms; such as, liquid, gas and solid.  This makes it very versatile to work with  and no other element has that ability. 

When collecting snow make sure your jar is clean and that your thoughts are neutral. Water does maintain it's ability to support life and that can cause bacteria to grow. So if your going to be ingesting it in any form, it is best used sooner than later. 

    
It has been proven that water can hold messages for extended periods of time. They have done studies of water that has been placed on words and then frozen. The water will freeze in forms that represent the word, this is amazing. It seems to be able to mutate, so remember that water is wise and can absorb things around it.  

With that said, it leads us to the most powerful quality of water which is transformation. Transformation is a necessary part of life, without it we would not have evolved as a species. Transformation not always pleasant it at times can be one of the most painful parts of being human but overall it is deemed necessary for life lessons to take root.  So when you need to make something serious and desire change a few sprinkles of this earthly mojo often does the trick. 
You can also find balance as an empowerment within water. To be able to hold all the forms of water; whether it be as evaporation or ice; this will require the perise ability of coordination in mind, body and spirit. Snow water adds fine tuning to anything you want to create. Balance must apply a steady balance to everything you cast to ensure the tide of control is equal and mutable to the giver and receiver. One other quality is creativity. When we use snow water it stimulates the end result. This magick can come out in any form imaginable because remember, water can take any form. It opens the imagination and other worlds deep in the recess of your mind.  Creativity can generate ideas, communication and problem solving thoughts and actions, making it a top need in many practises. It will change the domain that it remains in and open up the energy it touches.
  

***So if you are stagnant feeling you may need to wash it away; be it the winter blues, the funk too much energy of any form or whatever. 
Take the snow water to a bath with some oils (recipe below) and pour the water over your entire body and keep your eyes closed. Imagine the stagnation flowing out of every part of you. Washing away everything that is not needed for optimal healing. As you wash it away then a slight hardening effect can occur. The importance of this is to create a protective layer around the newly opened part of the soul. This will give you a chance to heal and keep moving forward.  

Recipe:  Transformational Soak 
One tub of water (set to your temperature)
1/4 cup of snow water(in any form).
A few drops of any or all of these oils; Sweet Orange, Ginger, Peppermint, Rosemary, Basil. 
A dash of black pepper 

Only using a shower??  well it works the same .. pour some snow water over your head and down the front of the chest and belly. Allowing the water to wash everything down the drain. If you want place herbs and spices in a tea bag and use on the body as a scrubber and place oils with a carrier oil then rub on your body.. leaving you feeling silky and protected.
