Herbs for Healing Spiritual Inflammation

Have you ever hurt for no apparent reason or keep having unexplained pain?
Have you gone to the doctor for symptoms that come and go with no real explanation and not been given a diagnosis?

This type of situation can cause you to worry more or remain confused about what is causing your anguish. It seems like the answers should be easy for a medical doctor to diagnosis, but often they are not trained in healing spiritual maladies. If you have been to the doctor and they have ruled out everything physical, then you can safely assume it is either serious stress or spiritual inflammation.

Spiritual inflammation is type of dis-ease that affects the human body. Actually, what is happening is that your soul or spirit becomes inflamed because the energy in your body is stagnate or has built up with no way to release it. Many of us become afflicted with pain or pressure that comes from the spirit pushing on the physical body. The discomfort can be located anywhere in the body. The pain can range from dull or numbing to sharp and uncomfortably tingly. It can come on fast and leave quickly or just linger like a chronic dull ache. You may think you are going crazy because of the on-going symptoms that have no firm diagnosis attached cause you to wonder, why.  Many may feel weary of being sick while waiting for someone to give you an answer or a diagnosis that makes sense; often this worry and stress can makes things get worse.

We will often do things to suppress spiritual inflammation such as drinking alcohol, using recreational drugs or putting ourselves in negative/harmful situations so we can explain this pain away. You feel pain intensify even more as the inflammation increases when your spirit is feeling trapped; for instance, if you’re in a toxic situation day in day out or if you have steady depression and sadness, this can compound the dis-ease of spiritual inflammation. These situations are draining and mind consuming, causing you to not take care of your body; that only impacts your health even more.
There is a strange ease that takes over the conscious mind when you find have something you can put meaning behind, like a diagnosis.  See, automatically by nature we do things naturally to keep our body’s energy flowing, almost like instinctual behavior. You may find yourself pushing in on a particular spot of your body, rubbing areas of pain, or taking deep breaths and sighing; these are all physical ways to relive spiritual inflammation.

There are many treatments that help, like using breathing techniques and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to name a few.  I will list some powerful herbs that will help move your soul’s energy to ease the dis-ease and uncomfortable feeling of a misdirected spirit energy flow. Take the time to look at all the aspects of your life and see if you can’t get out of the situations that are causing you spiritual distress. Otherwise, these symptoms could become detrimental to you and possibly those around you.

Don’t use these remedies in place of the doctor’s orders… but you can use them to enhance healing while working with spiritual energies that surround us every second of the day.

These herbs maybe added to your diet; you can cook them or even add them to salads.
·         Rosemary is an excellent stimulator; it awakens the spirit and protects it while you heal. It helps relieve muscle and mental fatigue that comes with the unknown reason for the dis-ease. It can also help direct the energy out of the body that has become so painfully smothering.
·         Turmeric has been used in many different cultures as an Ayurveda treatment to heal the gastrointestinal tract. It eases an upset stomach and quiets down the body’s bile production that can be increased by stress and lack of sleep. Add one teaspoon of powder to three cups of milk; regular milk or any other type of alternative milk like rice, hemp or almond may be used. Heat it up and sip it over a few hours or throughout the day. Be careful to avoid it becoming rancid.
·         Thyme was known as the herb of love in the time of the middle ages. It was given as gifts to uplift the spirits of someone or to show a deep term of endearment. This herb stimulates the immune system and aligns the body’s sympathetic nervous system, thus allowing the mind and emotions to clear and quieting your energy so it can lift naturally.
These next herbs work best as oils or poultice packs. The oils are often sniffed and placed on the areas of the body that are afflicted by the dis-eases. Trusting your instincts and intuition will help you know which way to use them.
·         Devils claw is a South African tuber that can be ground into a powder and placed in a muslin pouch. Soften it in warm water and place it directly over the affected area for short intervals on and off until the pain subsides. It helps heal hot joints and deep bone pain, working the stagnate energies that are confined in areas of the body. *Do not use if pregnant.
·         Blue Lotus is known as a water lily. It has been used in healing and rituals since the Egyptian times. Petals and seeds can be crushed and placed in baths. This can help heal a grieving soul that wishes to be set free from past emotional burns and emotional baggage. It alleviates pain from heart ache and lack of sexual desire. This flower envelopes the soul to open the flow of its chi/life force so it can move past the dark waters into a purified space of living.
